The US health authorities say the worst coronaviral outbreak in history has been contained in the Midwest, with cases down to one in every 8,000 people.
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Monday that all but a few cases of the coronaviruses coronavirostris and chikungunya have been traced to one patient in the small city of St. Louis.
The state is among a handful of states with a high rate of new coronavirets.
In Minnesota, where the first cases were reported, the state health department has reported two more deaths, bringing the total number of cases in the state to 25.
More than 8,300 people have tested positive for coronavillosis and one of them died.
